Wellness Wednesday: Workplace Intervention, High Cholesterol, Teen Health Programs

A new study found that employees enrolled in a workplace intervention program as a group lost more weight than employees who received only written health guidelines for diabetes prevention. When it comes to high cholesterol levels, American adults are steadily moving in the right direction but according to a CDC survey, 1 in 5 kids in the U.S. has high cholesterol. A new high school health program, COPE, helped students maintain healthier weights and alleviated severe depression for a full year after the program ended.
